89th Annual Conference of the DGK

esanum reported from the German Society of Cardiology (DGK)'s 89th Annual Conference, which met under the motto: "The heart failure epidemic: researching mechanisms, healing hearts".

Since 1927, the German Society for Cardiology, Heart, and Cardiovascular Research (In German: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kardiologie - Herz und Kreislaufforschung e.V.) has been committed to promoting science in the field of cardiovascular diseases. With over 8,700 members, it is the largest cardiology society in Europe. The DGK, for its German acronym, organises two congresses a year that deal with the latest scientific findings in cardiology.

The DGK's 89th Annual Conference met 12-15 April as a hybrid event in Mannheim, Germany, under the motto "Epidemic Heart Failure: Researching Mechanisms, Healing Hearts!"
