Acrodysostosis

Acrodysostosis is a rare form of peripheral dysostosis, which describes a shortening of the long bones in the hands and feet, as well as cone-shaped epiphyses.
Characteristic of acrodysostosis is dwarfism, nasal hypoplasia, accelerated bone age, a prominent skull anomaly, a characteristic face and mental retardation.

In some patients, abnormal distances of the spinous process increased mandibular angle and hearing loss were noted.
In addition, calcific-like changes in epiphyses in infancy may be conspicuous.
