Central neurocytoma

Central neurocytoma is a benign, but frequently recurring brain tumor manifesting in young adulthood. The tumor usually occurs in young adulthood and is one of the rarest tumor types.

Localization is typically in the lateral ventricles. The cause of the genesis is in most cases a hydrocephalus. The intravetricular tumor impedes the drainage of cerebrospinal fluid, which causes overpressure in the brain.
