Reese retinal dysplasia

Reese retinal dysplasia is a congenital dysplasia of the retina in the presence of a primary vitreous body. Furthermore, the disease is associated with malformations of the CNS and internal organs such as the heart and the gastrointestinal tract.

Typically, retinal dysplasia occurs in association with trisomy 13. Both autosomal recessive and dominant inheritance are known. The disease occurs on paired organs on both sides.
