Tibial hemimelia

Tibial hemimelia is a unilateral or bilateral aplasia or tibial hypoplasia of the intact fibula.

It may be isolated or occur as part of a malformation syndrome. The cause is unknown.

Often, other malformations such as syndactyly, polydactyly, cryptorchidism, femur hypoplasia also occur.
