For four days, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) will present the latest scientific findings in cardiovascular medicine in live and on-demand sessions. Physicians from around the world will have the opportunity to discuss practice-changing breakthroughs and ask questions via the live chat and live Q&A.
ESC 2021 programme highlights include the latest scientific findings from major clinical trials presented live from Amsterdam, as well as deeper insights into the associated data with trial participants and international opinion leaders.

This will be followed by interviews with the task force chairs on the impact on patients and clinical practice. Over 4,000 abstracts from international scientists and clinicians were submitted for ESC 2021.

Controversial cardiology topics explored from both sides

This year's ESC theme is "Sudden Cardiac Death", which remains a major public health threat and can affect people of all ages. With regard to this congress agenda, Spotlight Sessions at the online congress will provide the latest evidence on prediction and prevention for people with and without heart disease - including young people, athletes and pregnant women.

ESC 2021 will also feature "Great Debates" to explore the most controversial topics in clinical cardiology today from both sides. Among the topics to be discussed are digital health interventions for cardiovascular patients and the role of artificial intelligence in cardiology.

Costs for the ESC 2021 - it pays to be early

Regardless of whether you have guest access or are an ESC Professional Member - it pays to be quick with regard to the participation costs for ESC 2021: Until 30.06.2021, all interested parties can save money when registering for the Cardiology Congress 2021. Until this deadline, spectators who are not members of the European Society of Cardiology pay 175 €, from 01.07. 225 €. The cost of participation for members of the category "ESC Professional Member", "Plus Member" or "Emeritus FESC" is 95 € until 30 June, 115 € thereafter.

ESC Professional Members under 40 years of age, nurses and other healthcare professionals, general practitioners or participants from low or lower middle income countries also save if they register early: Here the costs are 55 €, from 01.07. 75 €. Participants with the honorary award "Fellow of the ESC (FESC)" can attend the Cardiology Congress 2021 free of charge.
